The Greater Lynchburg Transit Company (GLTC) has again selected New London Technology, Inc. (NLT) as a prime technology integrator. During December NLT technicians will be migrating GLTC’s transit fleet to the Region 2000 800MHz EDACS system. This upgrade will provide additional coverage and enhance fleet safety by allowing GLTC personal to communicate directly with not only dispatchers but other operators, and first responders. GLTC currently provides fixed route and Para transit services for Lynchburg and surrounding areas. NLT has been a key technology partner with GLTC in the implementation of Automatic Vehicle Location and mobile computing systems over the past three years.
